서울시는 거주 외국인의 커뮤니티 활동과 문화행사를 활성화하고 시민들에게 다양한 세계문화를 체험하는 기회를 제공하기 위하여 2013 외국인 커뮤니티 문화행사를 공모하여 지원한다.

지원대상은 오는 3월부터 11월 중 외국인커뮤니티와 외국대사관 및 민간단체가 개최하는 문화행사로 행사내용, 효과성 등을 고려해 행사경비의 80% 이내에서 최대 600만원까지 지원할 계획이다.

특히 이번 외국인커뮤니티 지원사업은 서울-베이징 10월 기념행사, 한-러 우정의 축제 등 개최국 국경절 기념, 민속․명절행사를 중점 선정할 예정이며 개최시기, 장소 등을 고려하여 시민참여 축제로 연계 지원할 예정이다.

한편 서울시는 지난해 제12회 몽골『나담축제』, 중국『쓰리웨이』축제(국경절), 한․러 우정의 축제『백만송이 장미』등 16개 문화행사에 69백만 원을 지원해 외국인들이 자국문화를 소개하고 시민들이 자유롭게 참여해 다양한 문화를 공감할 수 있는 기회를 제공했다. 이는 2003년부터 시작해 이번이 열 한 번째이다.

Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) hereby announces the support project to promote various foreign cultural events in Seoul.

1. Eligibility : Foreign cultural events to be held during 2013 in Seoul

❍ Cultural event, hosted by a foreign embassy or foreign community

❍ Cultural event, hosted by a private organization

※ Events using SMG"s facilities, such as the Seoul Forest, Seoul Grand Park and Gyeonghuigung, Cheonggye Plaza will be given preference.

Support for Ceremony and event related to national day/ traditional festival(Seoul-Beijing October memorial event, Korea-Russia Friendship festival and so on)-And arrangment such as date or venuse of the event will be discussed and made with Seoul Metropolitan Governmen.

2. Subsidy Amount

❍ Partial support for event expenses (within 80%)

❍ Maximum subsidy amount is limited to 6 million Korean won

3. Application

❍ Period : "13. 2. 25(Mon) ~ 2. 28(Thur) (10:00~18:00)

❍ Documents to submit : Application Form, Documents of introduction of the community, detailed event plan

4. Others(All submitted documents will not be returned)

The criteria for selection is 1 event per country and thus non cultural exchange events such as private club event and fund raising event will be excluded from the cultural events support project.

Event which passed the screening will receive a notification, and special arrangement about the event will be made after the notification of results.

More than 1 event per country will be selected in certain circumstances(e.g. Events for celebrating the 2 countries" diplomatic ties) Also, arrangement about the event like date and venue will be discussed and made with the Seoul Metropolitan Government.(All events have to be held before November)
